Terms of Service
Short version: play fair, do not scrape the site, and remember the music belongs to its owners.
Using the service
MusicGuess is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You need to be 13 or older to create an account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the display name you choose.
Fair play
- No automated clients, scripts or bots playing on your behalf.
- No scraping the catalogue, leaderboard or API endpoints in bulk.
- No attempts to manipulate scores, rankings or other players' sessions.
Accounts that break these rules can have scores removed or access suspended without notice.
Music and artwork
Album artwork, track titles and artist names are supplied by third-party catalogue APIs and remain the property of their respective owners. MusicGuess claims no ownership over them and uses them for identification within the game. Rights holders can request removal of specific material through the contact page.
Availability
The service is offered as-is. Features can change, packs can be removed, and there is no guarantee of uptime or that scores survive future changes while the game is in development.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, MusicGuess is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We can close accounts that breach these terms. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data afterwards.
